[CW] What is the best telegraph key??

Dear David: What a beautiful picture of the Marconi 365! I really appreciate
you sending it. However, until I have the opportunity to actually use one,
then I am unable to comment. Just from looking, the one thing that would
concern me is the mass of the leaver. While beautiful to look at and very
strong, would the mass of the leaver contribute inertia to sending? (That may
be more conjecture than fact?) The Swedish key is almost amusing to see! It
appears to have too many parts and very delicate and would break easily? It
being mounted on a wood base would be too light and move around with my bear
paw hands? Thank's again for the great pictures! For the retail price of
$350, the Marconi 365 should have emerald or saphire jeweled bearings? Now
you have got me interested in it, but the price scares me. Also, as to those
keys with the "drawer pull knob" in lieu of the standard flat top knob, I do
not see or understand any advantage in that design? -73- Sherrill W. k4own.

In my quest for the perfect straight key this one has always been near the
top. Along with the Swedish Pump Key it seems to be favored by very many who
enjoy CW. And the best part is, they are both available right now at MorseX:
I have heard the GHD GT501M compared most favorably with the Marconi 365,
both like butter:

And I can't tell you how many time I have heard Swedish pump key praised for
it's precise feel:
