Hi all,
This is not strictly CW catagory question, not really even close. I have
done google searches and not found the information I need. I know there
are a lot of people, with a lot of experience, who read this reflector,
and quite likely one of you can answer my question. Please answer off
the reflector to minimize annoyance.
I am helping a friend repair a motor generator set. It has an open field
coil, which I hope to fix or have rewound. I am also replacing the diode
bridge used to provide the DC for the field coils and would like to
replace the capacitor which is on the DC side of the bridge. The
capacitor has no readable ratings. I would like to know what size
capacitor would be reasonable. Also what current rating should the diode
bridge be good for? It is about a 7 kW machine. Three phase 120/208.
1800 rpm 60 Hz.
Thanks DE N6KB
