Hi Ed,

Points well taken; your enforcement does indeed make the list more enjoyable.

To change the subject--

Many here will note that I had some specific suggestions going into the 20
Aug deadline for comments on BPL to the FCC. That time has long passed.

I am sure that there are those who think that such comments sit around the
FCC and gather dust. This is silly. Ms. Abernathy most likely made her recent
comments with sharp awareness of the issues regarding BPL, and the technical
counsel that problems may exist which can be eliminated, or at least sharply
mitigated.

To hams, the FCC is Mr. Hollingsworth (another great guy). But the FCC is
also another (approximately) 750 lawyers and 150 technical people. Many are hams
themselves. Some even live --I would speculate--in BPL test area(s). The FCC
has access to some of the great techno gurus (note: I am note affiliated with
the FCC) and is a very 'with it' agency. That is my opinion.

If your last contact with the FCC was to visit a local custom house to take a
license exam (I know: I am dating myself) and dusty file cabinets full of
license applications, then its time to look again.

Egging on the argument past the comment deadline makes hams look reactionary,
at best. My opinion.

Let the FCC do its job.

73,
Chip N1IR
