Aha! For the ~ sign (tilde), it is the the Spanish speakers who get their
turn!
When I send that in Morse, I send the word "TILDE". It does not occur very
frequently, so it is not a problem to spell out.
For the \ sign ("back slash") I usually use the normal slash / - because
in a URL, forward slashes and back slashes occur in different locations. So
the receiving station can figure it out because of its context.
The double dash (which people now write as an = sign (which I learned to
write as a long dash or as [BT] with a line over it) can be used for the
dash mark "-" but the official dash I think is [6T] - four dits in the
center - instead of [BT].
