This would only be the sound of the most rudimentary form of spark
transmission. Each type of spark transmitter had a different sound: AC
with fixed gap, rotary gap both synchronous and non synchronous, and
quenched gap. There were others, but these probably account for 90%
more on the transmitters used. Amateurs used all but the quenched gap.
