My 1949 bug slid all over the desk.... Very annoying!
I confiscated a pair of my wife's garden gloves (Fuzzy Duck brand). They have 
a sort of rubbery texture with a cotton backing, and are pretty thin. Took a 
hole punch and made 3 disks about the same size as the feet on the bug and 
attached them with double sided carpet tape. That was a year or so ago.
I still have to pick the bug up to move it - it won't slide.
Now all of my keys have  non-skid feet.
I can slide my J-47 (very light), but it stays put while keying. Anything 
heavier just won't move.
