   Copying sent text onto paper is a SKILL that cw operators can
develop or not, frequently used to pass traffic.

  Sending cw from text on the printed page is a SKILL that cw
operators can develop or not, frequently used to pass traffic.

   Copying sent text onto paper is also used as we learn the code,
casual QSO's don't require hard copy.

   Head copy is a SKILL that cw operators can develop with enough
practice.  (I choose to work on all three.)
