During 4 days we activated this CW argentine rare province.
We made 1800 CW and 50 SSB QSOs.
You can visit our web site for some photos. No english.

As you know /P is for temporary QTH in San Juan, like /H is in Cordoba and
/X or /XP is in Tierra del Fuego.
We used a 33 m long multiband dipole 8 m high - 300 ohms line - balun and
tunner to TX - and a Walmar SR4 vertical 2 m high.
I know that some of you need a map to know where San Juan is but this part
of the fun.
Was very nice to meet some of you during the operation making some funny
remarks.
We had very good condx during the nigth but very bad during day times
Better bands were 20 and 40m.
During many hours we LSN several world wide beacons on 10m, but we cant get
any traffic there.
I drive my VW Caddy car return 3300 km fully of about 500 kg of "things" and
rigs.
Fernando LW2DX take care of every money and support aspect very well. Was
his first multiperation experience.
Our records show some hour rate very high with several 3/4 KHz asian
sattions pile up.
20 m day times show a rate of 40 CW QSOs and only 5 SSB. We had only a few
SSB takers in 20 and 40 m spanish.
We have 2 stations. Main 500 W with multiband dipole, PC, etc. running 24
hours.
I blow up one 3500Z of my linear amplifier during 24 MHz period.
We replace it with LU6UOs 2 x 813 = 500 w
Some time was very difficult to call Hector LU6UO to give us the chance to
operate the main station. We look like children in the grocery store. HI
HI - Great time.
QTH was San Agustn del Valle Frtil: 30 36 18" South and 67 26 33"
West - FF69GJ.
This is a small 1200 inhabitants town, located near the Moon Valley. Views
are more or less like in Arizona.
The town have a little lake, a good Motel, several bungalows (we rent one of
these), cable TV and only a few stores to buy local hand made things and
very good medicine herbs.
