[CW] Simple Question

If you send with a right handed keyer, buy a right handed bug. Right handed
means that the thumb sends dots with your right hand. Left handed means
that the thumb sends dots with your left hand.
I know many left handed people who send backwards with the bug - and then
they wire their paddles also backwards.
But it seems you send "right" - like a baseball batter hits left or right -
so you should choose a right handed bug. You use the right hand to send,
and send dots with your thumb of your right hand.

Subject: Re: [CW] Simple Question
Hello David and thanks for the reply.
I was looking for Santa to buy one. Hi. but will keep an eye on ebay.
The keyer I have is wired right, meaning I use the thumb for dots and
index finger for dashes. When I first started using it, I felt it to be
arbitrary and
so felt comfortable the way it now is setup. Recently, I got
the urge to try a bug and so the question.
I was thinking using one with my right hand. I have now discovered from
another reply that the knob is the dot and the flat one is the dash..
Just now I reverse my keyer and can't send that way, so I'll probably look
for a Left handed one and use it with the right hand. That way I don't
need to relearn the poor skill I've develop.
I did notice that Vibroplex's catalog mentions the Original in a Left
Hand version.
I'll email them with a query.
tnx and have a nice day.
