[CW] Simple Question

Wait a minute! I said the wrong thing ---!!!
The oval paddle is for dots and the knob is for dashes!
The oval paddle makes the pendulum move! The knob works just like a
straight key.
On some bugs (McElroy) you can tie the pendulum down and turn the bug on
it's side and use the knob just like a hand key.
Again the knob is for dashes and the paddle is for dots.
Where's my coffee now that I need one!
If you search eBay for a few months, you will find a bug that has a knob on
the left and a paddle on the right - and you will see that the pendulum's
dot contact is on the right. There is a pillar of metal which has a screw
and contact - also called a "contact post" and it will be on the right.
Right handed bugs have the dot contact post on the left. You will see that
(hopefully) the paddle and knob are reversed so than when you press the oval
paddle, it will cause the vibrator to move to the left and make contact with
the dot contact which is on top of the dot contact post.
I hope I've got it right this time!
