[CW] March Paddles

I feel I must comment on this one. I have both the March R-3A, sn95, and the
Hensley sn15. The Hensley paddle is the better paddle. I love my R-3A but
come on guys.
Again I highly recommend the March paddles but the Hensley wins. I might
consider selling mine for a cool $1K.

They use repulsion, and the magnets are relatively huge, and the legends
of temperature affecting operation do not seem to apply, David. The action
is far better than the ones mentioned, although the adjustments are not as
snugly threaded as on them, meaning it may take a while to get the key
adjusted. Once done, that's that, however. I cannot overemphasize how
comfortable the feel is - it isn't just the fingerpieces, it's the action
of the entire mechanism.. hard to describe. I can use a plain Bencher with
no problems at all, but it feels "hard" somehow. The March is a softy by
comparison, and the only way to fathom that is to use one. The one I got
from him is featured on his website. But he has many designs machined into
the finish of his keys, different paddle colors and materials, etc. In all
cases, the action is the same - superb.

Fred,
Does the March paddle use magnetic attraction or repulsion to tension the
paddles.
The Mercury and Hensley paddles use attraction which produces a stickness,
which some like, some dislike, but repulsion does not have this sticky
quality.
