I have only owned 1 ten tec in my ham career and that was a century 21.
I keyed it with a straight key so you could hardly call that very fast.
The C21 had some power supply problems that always came back after repair.
I had a ts440 which worked well and seemed to have a good receiver in
it, the only problem was the dot syndrome which kept coming back in spite
of all the repairs to fix it.

My FT-900 has had some minor repairs after owning it 6 years or so, it
has full qsk as some one noted, and is a great rig. Just wish I had gotten
the narrow cw filtre for it when I bought it. They are unavailable now.

My favourite rig so far is the Icom IC 706 Mk ii. Yes there is some
relay noise, but it does not bother me. I normally use head phones
when operating cw so perhaps that is why I do not notice it. I was smart
enough to get the 250 hz cw filtre with the rig and I really like that
  feature.

I have yet to experience some of the more expensive rigs that people are
talking about here in this thread, so cannot comment on them except to say
that I have heard a lot of FT 1000's on the air and they sound good.
