[CW] SURVEY QSK RIGS

I agree the OMNI is probably the better rig, but I just wanted to get things
going! This time it is working! I think this is a valuable thing to give
our list, because I really didn't know how FUN cw was until I got a ten-tec!
Perhaps others will buy TT equipment and they will really get their eyes
opened by how good it can be!

Incidentally, modern (JA) rig makers say their equipment is "optimized for
digital modes" - meaning it isn't good enough for great QSK on CW. You need
exceptional turn around time to do QSK at 45 or 55 wpm. I can hear someone
break me when I am sending a CONTINUOUS stream of dots at 55 wpm on my
Triton IV.

Now that is a test - can your rig make that claim?

Arrange a sked with someone (preferably with QSK) tell him you want him to
break you while you send a continuous stream of dots, and then hold the dot
lever down and see if you can hear him. Repeat to see if it was really OK.

To be fair, the signal must be S 7 or higher to do this well at very high
speeds!
