[CW] T/R Switch vs PIN diodes

Has anyone hooked up a T/R switch like the Johnson one, or the B&W T/R
switch to a tube amplifier and a transceiver?

I sometimes have swr of 4 or 5 to 1 on my wet feedline, and I hear that PIN
diode boxes will FRY and break.  Does the Killovac relay system have
problems with high vswr?

Anyone have any experience either with HIGH VSWR and PIN diode QSK boxes, or
using a T/R switch between a amplifier and a transceiver?
