I don't know about your keyer but if it looks like the socket will take a 
coin type battery about the size of a quarter, you should be able to use a 
2032 or 2025.  The 2032 is a little thicker and has more mAH capacity but 
either should work.

I developed my own keyer (wrote the software for the PIC12C508) and its 
probably like the others out there - I've gotten 2 years so far off a 2032 3v 
Lithium coin cell.

By the way, the 2032 is very popular because it is used for CMOS/Clock backup 
on PCs and can be found at grocery stores or Walmart for $2.50 or there 
abouts.
