It may be better in some situations. NG for comms center if guys in field
are all using CW :-)
If stuck out in the bush in emergency, I want something that is simple,
easy to work on, and if power is in short supply, something that doesn't
need much to get a message through.
receiver, transmitter, key
vs
receiver, transmitter, interface, computer(and all it's associated parts)
and software.
that 'interface' is not simple. T-R switching, modulation and
demodulation, connection to PeeCee...
