[CW] Fwd: My take on CW

My comment was NOT a supporting statement about No-Code. It was an
observation that the (original) comment states well the now-and-future
status quo of [CW]. All this bitching about how truly sorry (as we say in
the South) that state of affairs is, helps not one iota-nor do smart-ass
remarks.

I think the excellent reference (see below) given in the latter half of the
second message says what we-here on [CW] would like most to see happen, as
countries-and their respective communications-governing bodies-chart their
courses for the Morse requirement in the future. Unfortunately, I think the
ARRL plans to drop the Morse requirement like a hot brick. That's not
'bitching' but rather an observation, based on their behavior to date.

So, I repeat, I think Brian stated pretty well where things stand. I have
never considered the Phone bands to be worth much, and I doubt seriously
that their 'worthlessness' is about to make a drastic improvement with
these changes. All we can do is continue to barrage the ARRL-and anybody
else who might listen-with useful comments, which, taken en masse, might
convince them (the ARRL) they need to pay more attention to us.
