I can echo that. Dave and I have had a little discussion on the matter of
writing instruments, so I did some testing myself.

I found that the "fastest" pens out there now are the Sanford Uni-Balls. I
use a "Vision Elite" with a broad ball, and I can copy traffic at 25 easily
with it. I find the fine and extra-fine points to be slower (and
scratchier), and the "Gel" ink seems to help the speed as well.

I've tried a lot of writin' irons and the Uni-Ball works best for me.
