That reminds me of a story that was circulating just before the turn of the 
century when Y2K was a big issue.  A well-known corporation required 
certification that all electronic office equipment was Y2K compliant.  The 
lighted "exit" sign over the main door, consisting of a light bulb inside a 
glass box with lettering painted on the side, bore a tag certifying that the 
sign was "Y2K compliant".

I wonder what would happen to that key if you tried to send in Japanese, 
Russian or Arabic with it?
