I heard a good one on one of our 2m rptrs recently.
The rptr was running on battery backup and the battery
voltage was dropping.  And so the rptr controller was automatically
sending the voice message " low battery" every 10 minutes or so.
During this I heard a couple of new "Techs" in QSO and they somehow
believed that the repeater was informing them that their HT 
batteries were low ! !
