Does anyone else find the sending of "?" between repeats of a QTH annoying?
This seems to be a new habit by many ops I've worked lately.
Example: QTH Katonah, NY ? Katonah, NY.
Sounding like an old fart, it's not correct or appropriate and (if you
are really in a cranky mood) is condescending as if you didn't copy it
the first time.
Who started this annoying trend? Why does everyone like it so much?
When operating CW in the 60's, I first heard this used by DX stations
and then it semed to catch on in the US.
So.....blame those guys.
73 and Season's Greetings to all...
