Ditto as to the ARRL.

But the lack of opposition statement is a flat out lie.  As was  
reported here and elsewhere, a number of administrations were against  
dropping the morse requirement.  What we ended up with was a compromise  
since they didn't have the influence to make it stick.

Makes me wonder how it would have turned out if the US had joined those  
nations pushing for the retainment of the morse requirement...
