It's true that the US has more lawyers than all of the rest of the world
combined. And US law schools keep attracting the best talent from college;
and the US lawyers' collective and individual power is immensely broader
than that of lawyers anywhere else in the world; and the US is strongly
influenced and run by lawyers; and the US isn't doing that bad,  in spite of
all those lawyers, so please don't blame the lawyers for our hobby's current
maladies.  Those are brought about by persons and circumstances extraneous
to lawyers, even though some of us are lawyers, hi hi...
