And N3DRK responded:
The propagation conditions have been bad all around. I always turn on 40
meters and listen to eCars and by noon i very seldom can hear the net or
anyone else on the band. If you want a cw qso on 40 meters then get on
around 8 in the evening and you will have as many qsos with different
stations on cw as you like. The same holds true for 30 meters. If you
prefer
to operate in the daytime i would suggest 20 meters cw.
Sounds like you need to brush up on your propagation skills. I would
suggest
the RSGB. They have many good books on the ins and outs of propagation. I
would suggest anything written by G3YWX, Ian Poole. Read his books and then
you will know what bands are open during the daytime.
