For those of you who don't know, there is an avalanche of email postings on
QRZ.com about the VEC proposal.

Some are advocating "no written test" either - which might not be a bad
idea - it might give W5YI a real stun.  But of course, he'd sell books on
something else.

One comment that I think is brilliant comes from W6TH, Vito Chiareppa:

Friends, Romans, and country men, lend me your ears.
200 comments now on this thread. Can you see now what the ham bands are
going to be like. What in this world are we coming to? I don't have the
answer, but believe we are being deceived, yes the time has come.
Nothing more to say as you can see for yourselves what the future brings.
