[CW] IC-706 ? ?

Hi guys,
I'm considering an IC-706 since the prices
are down within reach but I have a question
for anyone who has used one to key an amp
on cw....just semi-breakin. 
Is there adequate provision for properly keying
an amp ?  I ask this because I know that on my
old IC-730 I had some trouble doing so. I found
that the relay provided for this purpose on the
730 did not close immediately upon keydown and the
result was having RF applied to the amp just slightly
ahead of relay closure. I then found a TTL output
available on the ACC jack on the 730 that I used to 
drive a  homebrew keying interface and found the 
TTL output was instantaneous and worked fine. 
So I'm wondering if the 706 has a similar TTL out-
put available or does this problem not exist with
the 706.  Any tips appreciated.
