ANNOUNCEMENT
Tony Lacy, G4AUD of NU-WARE software (NU-MORSE, NU-TEST
has released an interesting program called "CODE WEAVER"
which can take audio samples and produce morse code.
For example, the sound of a Marconi Oceanspan transmitter which
was recorded can be input to the program, and actual messages
with that "accent" can be produced.
I've used the interesting sound of SLIDELL RADIO/ WNU's old 478
kHz transmitter (the transmitter had a bell tone to it.) and now by
using the CODE WEAVER I can hear WNU sending the daily news
- or whatever I want it to send.
How about Spark transmitters? Arc? GLD again! - the list is
interesting! A great program to play with.
Here is the site:
http://www.nu-ware.com/Weaver/wdload.htm
The version there will expire 1 May 2003 - so there is only a few
days more to play with it.
I suspect that Tony will put a new version online that will give us a
wee bit more time. (I was supposed to announce this program last
month...)
