Well,here we go.I have 3 706 mk2g,s...one in each vehicle and one for
portable.Used it at field day etc...I bought a ft-100d(new version) tried it
for a bit and sold it.I like the 706.OK,Do I understand the memories better
due to the fact that I had 2 706,s...Probebly so...Yes,I do have the filters
in all of the rigs.I run one at the house for 2m fm,ssb/432 fm,ssb...The
local hf nets.I have a proII for real dx work.I believe the 706 is the best
rig for the money in every respect.My opinion,and sorry if this offends
anyone.I did have the 100d,And if you run yaesu,then you have a great rig.I
just like ICOM...imho..73 to all,john
