I found it easy the first time I ever tried it, to key left handed with a
lefthand bug or turning a righthand bug around. As long as I can form the
dits with the thumb and dahs with forefinger, it doesn't seem to matter much
which hand I use. I could go from left to right in the middle of a sentence
if I had both lefthand and righthand bugs connected to the transmitter. I
believe the body/brain combination makes each hand act like a mirror image
of the other.

It is much more difficult to get the hang of sending using the forefinger
for the dits and thumb for the dahs, regardless of which hand is used. I
once heard somewhere that the bug is set up the way it is because there ist
more dexterity in the thumb than the fingers, and you need more precise
control to make dits than dahs.
