Hello all my fellow FISTS Members in the Great State of New Jersey! 

This is Tim, N8LXR, FISTS Number 8541, in Philadelphia. 

I am helping the Englewood Amateur Radio Association promote the 2002 
New Jersey QSO Party, which will be held on August 
17th and 18th, 2002. 

The NJQP starts Saturday, August, 17th at 2000 GMT. 

The exchange is a sequential serial number and your NJ County. Out-of- 
State stations send a sequential serial number and their state, province, or 
country as applicable.

I specialize in Mobile Contesting and will be doing a Statewide Mobile effort. 
I will be activating some fairly rare NJ Counties, such as Cape May and 
Cumberland, and of course, I will be on CW!

However, I am calling on all New Jersey Fists Members to help me "bring out 
the NJ Troops." Let's show the whole Country that CW is alive 
and well in New Jersey! 

The NJQP needs the participation of all NJ Hams to make this a fun and 
enjoyable operating event for all. But since I am a FISTS Member, I am 
making a special appeal to you, my fellow CW Operators. And you don't 
have to be a "Big Contester" to have fun!

Even if you have only a few hours to spare, or even less, your participation 
in the NJQP this August 17th and 18th is greatly needed, as we want to have 
as many NJ Stations on the air as possible. No effort is "too small!" 

Making your State's QSO Party a success depends largely on substantial on-
air particiaption by NJ Hams...and who is better suited to the task of doing that 
on CW than New Jersey's FISTS Members?

So I hope you will join me in the NJQP this August.
