[CW] extra lpt ports

There was a discussion few weeks ago on extra lpt ports conflicting with
some window programs.I do not recall windows ME being mentioned,SO  I bought
a extra lpt,actually its a dual pci lpt...But,the computer will not boot up
with it...any thoughts or comments,thanks john
