If you mean the substitute for the Bencher, they are total junk no matter
where you use them. Actually, nothing made by MFJ in their own product line
is "heavy" - they make cheap stuff, some of which is very useful, none of
which is high quality.

Subject: [CW] little MFJ paddles

I noticed in one of the amateur mags from about 6 mos ago that they were
selling these little paddles made by MFJ (I think!). I considered getting
a pair for my work qth (up a 30 metre fire tower). but was not sure how
heavy
they would be and if they would slide around when you used them. Is there
anyone on this reflector who has a set of these and could tell me what they
are like? are they good and heavy so they don't slide around? I may get
a pair for the tower if I get some good reports. Thanks.
