Hi Darryl... I don't think having "a key collection of Mercuries, WBLV22s,
Schurrs, etc." does more than qualify you to rate them comparatively... but
NOT having a nice collection makes one's choice all that much more
important. It's a VERY SUBJECTIVE thing anyway.

For example, while I HAVE a WBL V22, I think it is almost junk. I don't
care for its FEEL, nor its QUALITY of design or materials... BUT I know
several guys who think they are the greatest. I have always thought the
Benchers were well made, felt pretty good, but distracted me to
near-insanity by coming apart at inopportune moments.

But that's just me. I tend to bang paddles-as opposed to a lighter touch
keeping the Bencher in one piece requires! [grin] We all are entitled to
those opinions, and can act on them as we see fit. For the record, my key
favorites are:

1) Hensley; 2) GHD GN-405 3) Mercury (which I sold back when they were so
'hot'; 4) Jones key & Kent paddles (TIE); 5) Schurr "Portable Wabbler"...
and so on. My paddles page is: <http://www.n4xy.com/keys_paddles.html> if
you want to see for yourself.
