Thanks Don (K4KYV) for giving a plug to our AWA on-the-air get-together.

Yes, it is quite a challenge to keep a self-excited Hartley oscillator
stable and the first harmonic below 30 dB. Not counting the power
supply, there are only eight elec. components in my xmtr! That includes
my lone '27 vacuum tube.

We all pray for no wind. Even a small movement of the antenna wire will
warble the transmitted signal.

Although all of us use pre-1929 schematics, some of us use all new
components, and some of us try to make the rigs as authentic as
possible.
