Hm-m-m... that's interesting Neal... my references to the bands list the 
following:

VLF:    ~0 - 30 kHz
LF:     30 - 300 kHz
MF:     300 - 3000 kHz
HF:     3 - 30 MHz
VHF:    30-300 MHz
UHF:    300 - 3 GHz
SHF:    3 - 30 GHz
EHF:    30 - 300 GHz

I believe that reference to "Intermediate frequencies" should not be 
capitalized... and that his meaning there for the word "intermediate" 
REALLY means the same thing as I said earlier: 'in between'.
