A few thoughts...

At Very high speeds, send with a keyboard - read The Art and Skill of =
Radio-Telegraphy.

Up to whatever you can handle, fine, use whatever works best, why debate =
personal preferences. We all have our walls, we all have our in many =
cases long-time habits.

I have avoided squeeze-keying with a passion. Here is where that =
attitude comes from:

I like to use several kinds of keys.. a bug, and what amounts to a =
single lever paddle, primarily.

If I learn and get accustomed to sqeeze keying, I say good luck using =
that same hand to use either of the above. In many situations, one runs =
into a visitor shack or whatever, and if a squeeze keyer is there, it =
can be used as a single lever paddle - no problem whatsoever. To use the =
keyers built into rigs, for example, there I find a problem with bug =
mode, but only because of the feel. I keep paddles very lightly =
tensioned and very tightly spaced - and that does not feel like a bug =
lever at all in "bug mode". But, it CAN be done. I just slow down.

I suppose it would be nice to be able to use one type of key with one =
hand, another with the other, but I do a lot more writing than touch =
typing, and I write with my right hand. That means I should learn to use =
all keys with my left hand, but there aren't many left handed bugs =
around, you know? :-).=20

I also have an attitude, and I like to ragchew or run nets. I need to =
keep my speed in the <30 wpm range most of the time for that, as a rule. =

I cannot see making such a science out of exactly how to key. Let's do =
our thing, adjust to the situation at hand, and keep working CW alive. =
Nobody here is not being heard, but the debate seems so fruitless. I can =
read 60 wpm, but am a slow touch-typer and have a mental block from high =
school typing class days, that arose when I first learned the code, then =
went to typing class. I think code even as I type this. It is totally =
natural to me. But it CAN be a barrier such as the one I just mentioned. =
:-).=20

Different thoughts, I think. I hope it contributes something to the =
conversation.
