[CVRC] Art Bell - W6OBB Warns of "Dangers From BPL" Saturday 10:00PM On Coast-2-Coast AM.

Art Bell - W6OBB will be leading-the-charge "against the dangers of BPL" 
(Broadband over Power Line) on his Talk Radio Show "Coast-To-Coast AM" With 
Art Bell -- this Saturday night, March 20, 2004 at 10:00pm PST.

Art will interview Jim Haynie - President ARRL -- for the 1st hour of Art's 
Talk Radio Show.  Additional RF experts on the Dangers of BPL will be 
interviewed during this and future show's.  Also, Bill Pasternak - WA6ITF 
has interviewed Art Bell regarding BPL for broadcast on Newsline to air 
next week.

In the event you're out-of-the-loop -- Chairman Powell and the 
Commissioner's of the FCC are heavily-biased in-favor of licensing 
BPL.  This is a direct-result of the unprecedented lobbying effort's by the 
Electric Utility Company's nation-wide, who stand to make $$$ Billion's 
from BPL as a cheap method of delivering internet access to USA Consumer's.

Several of these same utility company's brought "Utility De-Regulation" and 
the "Energy Crisis" to California and the Western United States, resulting 
in the continued devastation to the economy in both California and our 
Nation today!

Several test's and trial's of BPL nation-wide have demonstrated that BPL 
WILL DISRUPT HF / VHF COMMUNICATION'S by generating noise level's from S-9 
to 30dB Over S-9 on the HF / VHF Spectrum from 500 Khz to 80 Mhz.

The FCC has already authorized small-scale BPL Trials, some of which 
operate within the AM Broadcast Band.  Some of these BPL Trial's have been 
conducted "secretly" to see in anyone complains of interference.  S. CA 
Edison has already began BPL.

FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) in it's Full-Court-Press 
Opposition to BPL has filed Comments with the FCC and warned Commissioner's 
of the dangers that BPL would wreck havoc to FEMA's HF Communications that 
are used during "National Emergency's" such as during a Terrorist's Attack.

Subsequently, the FCC has "brushed-aside" FEMA's Concern's in Favor of the 
"special-interest's" Electric Utility Company's Greed For Revenue at the 
Expense of National Security!

Moreover, ALL Amateur Radio Operator's are "Commissioned" by the FCC and 
Federal Government to "Serve our Country" by providing "Back-up Emergency 
Communication's" during time's of National Emergency's and/or Threat's to 
National Security.  This ability and National Treasure will be "destroyed" 
by interference from BPL!

Historically, the FCC was managed by RF Engineer's who understood 
technology and the necessity of Spectrum Management -- to avert harm and 
safegaurd existing communications system's.  Today, the FCC is Run / 
Directed / Managed by a Group of Bureaucrat's who fail to understand 
"emerging technologies" and the danger's if miss-managed.  They ONLY care 
about Generating Licensing Revenue!  This is the case today with BPL.

BPL WILL JAM ALL HF / VHF RF SPECTRUM, not just Ham Frequencies!  Radio

While Art and all Ham's are vehemently opposed to the destructive effect's 
from BPL to Amateur Radio Frequency's..... Art understands the reality that 
the general public doesn't care about Amateur Radio.

It is for this reason, that Art has strategized to "alert" and "educate" 
the American Public of the dangers from BPL with respect to Emergency 
Government and Public Safety Communications, AND, it's detrimental impact 
on the "quality-of-life" of ALL American's!
