     S.A.T.E.R.N. Meeting January 17th, 2004

     Second Floor Disaster Services Office

     Agenda:
   Planning goals for the year 2004
   Setting a date for a workshop on the generator setup.
   A talk by Alex King on disaster services and procedures.
   Setting dates and classes for operational procedures etc.
   Revamping and getting net control operators for the Sunday night net.
   Discussion and decision on participating in Emmcom in May.

   We have a lot of planning and we need ideas for our 2004 events. All
members should please try to attend this meeting and bring your ideas and
input.
   Matt Parker, n7tod will be doing a class on the National Traffic System at
the VA medical building on January 10th. This is very good training for
health and welfare traffic used during  a disaster and I want to encourage
all members to attend. At 10 am there is a forum for new hams and the NTS
class starts at 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm.
   Doug Abramson ka7foo is in the planning stages for a class on Net Control
and as soon as this is finalized I want to encourage all interested members
to attend this class also.
   By putting on these events or classes for the community rather than
specific groups more training is available to all amateurs and interested
parties. We should take advantage of as many of these classes as possible.
