[CVRC] High Wind Advisory for Carson City, NV

High Wind Advisory

...Wind Advisory in effect until 6 PM PDT this evening...

Strong west winds will continue late this afternoon and this
evening. Expect frequent wind gusts to 50 mph over northwest
Nevada...northeast California and the Lake Tahoe basin. Local gusts
up to 65 mph are possible in wind prone areas.  Areas near the
Carson and Humboldt sinks...including Fallon and Lovelock...will see
blowing dust with visibilities reduced to less than one mile at
times. The strong winds will diminish later this evening and
overnight.

Drivers in high profile vehicles should use extra caution. Motorists
should also be prepared for strong cross winds...especially on U.S.
Highway 395 and Interstate 80. Secure loose items such as outdoor
furniture.
