ARRL Gets Second-Year Grant for Emergency Communications 
Training (Sep 4, 2003) 

-- The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) 
has renewed funding to subsidize the cost of ARRL Amateur 
Radio Emergency Communications Level I training for another 
year. The grant of nearly $180,000 covers the second year of a
three-year award. The goal of the second-year grant--which runs
September 1, 2003, through August 31, 2004--is to provide basic
training for 1666 Amateur Radio emergency communicators.
