[CVRC] CVRC Meeting this Saturday (Update)

I just found out we will be using the Main Sanctuary of the church for our 
meeting in the morning.  Our usual meeting place was over booked so we will 
be moving across the parking lot to the Main Sanctuary with its padded 
seats and major league audio/visual system!  What a perfect opportunity to 
really show off the WRTC video.  See you there!!

Earlier this week I wrote:
Don't forget we have a very special meeting of the Carson Valley Radio Club 
coming up this Saturday at 10:00 a.m.  After a short business meeting, we 
will be showing the hour-long video "WRTC: Finland 2002," the official 
video of the World Radiosport Team Championship.  For those of you who have 
never experienced the thrill of participating in a WRTC, this will open up 
an entirely new world of amateur radio.

Following the video, Tom Taormina K5RC will be setting up a portable HF 
station with full computer control and logging to allow everyone to 
experience what is arguably the most popular DX contest in the world; the 
CQWW SSB DX Contest that will be going on in full force during the 
meeting.  With Tom's help you will learn what the contest is all about, 
what you are hearing and how to participate yourselves!
