I have found that RELAY,WIDE2-2 works well for me on trips from
Gardnerville to the LA area and out to Sac'to. Some folks suggest simply
to use WIDE2-2.

There are lots of opinions out there about pathing, most notably about
whether or not RELAY should be used.

I went with the most often recommended settings, including RELAY. See
the following:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TinyTrak/message/221

http://www.vodall.com/pipermail/nwphamnet/2002-October/000019.html

These suggestions seem to be fairly common in areas with any topology to
speak off. Flatlanders probably have other favorites.

You'll find that the RELAY controversy is at least 2 years old. The fact
is, the TT3 and other 'dumb trackers' like you and I have are a real
pain to reconfigure 'on the run'. I'll try WIDE2-2 on my next trip down
to LA, and WIDE,WIDE on the trip back to see if there is any difference
in reporting via FINDU's breadcrumbs. The difference between the two is
that some older digis don't support WIDEn.
