[CVRC] Looking for some IC-R7000 wisdom.

Good day all:

I have recently acquired, for better or worse, an R7000. Except that this
radio is gravitationally challenged and will burn the casual radio petter
without adequate airflow, it is what it is. I noticed that when the radio
arrived from the Ebay seller very poorly packaged, and the radio was much
worse off than the sellerintimated. We all get burned once or twice.

Forgive my digression. The problem is the display control PCBA p/n B3098B
with the NEC display driver chip, shortly after power up starts screaming
at about 6 kHz and is terribly annoying, to the point I cant really use the
radio. Funny, the seller had no idea what I was talking
about. Re-digression, sorry. I took the radio apart and fired it up and
immediately found the offending PCBA. I dont know if it is a cap at
end-of-life, but something is dying. I would like to replace the PCBA if
possible, else troubleshooting to find the bad part. So, does anyone know
where I might acquire a new replacement board, or knows anything in regards
to this issue, I will profusely thank you in advance for any data.

Best regards to the reflector !

-Scott
