[CVRC] 9-1-1 and Careflight Tours

There will be a tour of the Douglas County 9-1-1 dispatch center at 8:30 
a.m. this Saturday morning, July 26th.  The dispatch center is located in 
the Douglas County Communications Center on the northeast corner of 8th 
Street and Esmeralda, just across from the OLD Minden courthouse.  From 
highway 395, turn south on 8th street and park where you can.

Following the 9-1-1 dispatch center tour, the group will move to the Carson 
Valley Medical Center at the south end of Gardnerville for a demonstration 
and tour of the Careflight helicopter.  Starting at 10:00 a.m. we will be 
able to inspect the helicopter while its crew describes their jobs and the 
helicopter's capabilities.  The crew will then be available to answer any 
questions you might have.

Both of these events are sponsored by the Carson Valley Radio Club (CVRC) 
and the Douglas County Amateur Radio Team (DCART) and are open to all 
amateurs interested in emergency operations.
