The SNARS-sponsored ARRL VE team will also be having a weekday-evening
exam session in Reno on Tuesday, December 16 at 7:30 PM.  The location
will be the IGT Training Center, 9275 Prototype Drive in Reno.  This
will be graduation for our Technician license class; however, anyone
looking for a weekday evening session is welcome.  Only written exams
will be given at this session, so anyone looking to take a code test in
Reno will need to do so at our regular December exam session at the VA
Medical Center in Reno on the preceding Saturday, December 13 at 10 AM.

There will be an ARRL-affiliated Volunteer Examination session this
Friday evening, December 12th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Carson Valley.

The session will be at the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center at
the Minden/Tahoe airport between Minden and Carson City.  The Sierra
Front complex is at the end of Firebrand Road, off Heybourne Road midway
between Johnson Lane and Airport Road.  A map can be found at

All amateur examination elements will be offered.  The examination fee
will be $12.  Examinees should bring one picture ID or two non-picture
IDs.  The original and a copy of any current licenses or CSCEs should
also be brought.

For those who cannot make morning or weekend VE sessions, this is a good
opportunity to get your license or upgrade.  The examinations are
sponsored by the Carson Valley Radio Club (http://www.cvrc.net).  For
