[CVRC] Announcement -- New ASM

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Hartman KK7LV of Las 
Vegas, Nevada, as Assistant Section Manager (ASM) for the Nevada 
Section.  A detailed description of the ASM position can be found at

Gary studied Electronics at Southern Colorado State University where he 
obtained his first amateur radio license.  He has been most active the last 
15 years, serving as ARES Emergency Coordinator in Boulder City, Nevada, 
for several years and currently as ARES Emergency Coordinator for 
Henderson, Nevada.  His favorite mode on HF is CW.  He has extensive 
experience working packet and currently spends considerable time on UHF and 
VHF.  Gary has been a member of ARES/RACES for most of the last ten years 
and is very interested in promoting interest and activity in that area.

Gary's primary responsibility will be to provide an informed ARRL presence 
in Southern Nevada.  In addition to representing the ARRL, the Nevada 
Section and myself, he will also be reporting on the unique needs of the 
expanding and dynamic south counties area.  I am very pleased that Gary has 
agreed to assume this role.
