Hello:

I am a relatively new member. I've been building my ham station ever since
I moved here from Calif. one year ago. Being 62 yrs of age and not in the
best health, it is taking a very long time. I finally got the tower up,
built the 11-element log periodic and managed to haul it to the top of the
tower single handedly. So what's the problem? Noise.

I've got 24/hrs/day and 7 days/week noise on all bands. The worst two are
forty (20 db over S9) and twenty meters (about S9 noise level).

Is there any club resource I can call upon to help me identify the noise
source? I think it's a telephone pole, but the power company is rumored to
help remove noise sources only if the complaining Ham can identify the
specific cause. I need help in identifying the source of the noise. Any way
the club can assist me?
