[CVRC] NNARS EmComm EC-001 Class

This is a reminder of the first classroom session for the above class
this coming Sunday afternoon.  The class starts at 1:00pm and will
be in Classroom MG-10 which is located in the northeast corner of
the block where the VA hospital is located.  Please be sure to bring
your $8.00 admin/materials fee with you and your Level-I course book.

It has come to my attention that a few students have not ordered the
course book from ARRL.  It is necessary for the course since it is
based on that book.  Normally this takes about a week to arrive when
ordered on-line from the ARRL web site so, if you do not have the book
yet, please order it as soon as possible so you will have it for the next
class session.  There may be enough people with books to share for
this time.

As was mentioned in the bulletins, if you enrolled in the class and 
wanted to purchase the book at the first session, you needed to pay
for the book in advance so it could be ordered in time.  I hope to have
a few books available for sale at the next class in the spring and we
won't have to go without.  If you have purchased the Level-I course book
please consider sharing with someone who may not have their yet at
this class session.

Please also be prepared to take notes as with any class you may take.
There will be "homework" assignments that are due at the next session
as well.  The class is intended to be very interactive and participation
by everyone is strongly encouraged.

If you have any questions, please forward them to me and I will respond
as soon as I can.  We do expect to have a radio on the air prior to the
start of the class session.  You can have "talk-in" directions by tuning to
the VAMC 2m repeater on 147.12+ (PL:123.0)
