Meeting Reminder:
A reminder to everyone that this Saturday will be our regularly scheduled
CVRC meeting at the Hilltop Community Church at 10:00. After reviewing
Field Day and the history of this annual event we will head to the overflow
parking area at the Hilltop Community Church where we can not only set-up
our stations, but we will also have access to their restroom facilities.

Field Day Event:
From our meeting we will go outside and begin to set up the antennas,
stations, power generators and other facilities we will need. Everyone will
have a chance to pitch in and help get things up and running. Then if you
want to watch, you can watch. If you want to operate the radios, you can
operate the radios . . . or both or neither. I will have a digital station
set-up so I invite everyone to join me and watch, listen (read) and see how
much we can figure out or get confused by.

The whole idea is to give everyone from beginners to old hands a chance to
participate in the Field Day experience. To see how antennas work, to hear
how radios sound, to operate them and talk to people all over the
continent. We are doing this so people can learn and have fun, with
emphasis on fun!

We'll be available to operate through the night and will then pack things
up on Sunday.

What to Bring:
Yourself, folding chairs, folding tables, tents or protection from the sun,
radios, coax, antennas, drinks to help keep you cool, or anything you feel
may be of help.

Field Day Potluck:
Saturday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. we'll take a break and have a
pot luck BBQ for everyone and their friends and family. If you would like
to participate in the BBQ, please try to bring a food dish to share with
others.
