[CVRC] Reminder: Tech Class Starting

Just a reminder that the Carson Valley Radio Club's Fall Technician 
licensing class will begin Thursday of this week.

The free class will be held at the Sierra Front Dispatch Center Training 
Room at 2311 Firebrand Road, Minden.  This is at the Minden/Tahoe Airport, 
half-way between Minden and Carson City.  A map to the facility can be

The textbook will be the ARRL "Now You're Talking" 4th Edition.  The retail 
price of the textbook is nineteen dollars.  It can be purchased from 
various local dealers, directly from the ARRL by telephone at 
1-888-277-5289 or through their online Publication Catalog at 
http://www.arrl.org/catalog/?item=7970.  A limited number of copies will 
also be available for sale at the first class session.

A detailed syllabus is also available online so everyone can know in 
advance what will be covered each night and what they need to review if

The class will run for twelve Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. and 
will be followed by an evening VE examination. The class will begin on 
Thursday, July 25th and run until the final VE examinations on Friday, 
October 11th, 2002.
